trading terms

margin

usdt you commit to a position.

margin is what you can lose (before pnl).

leverage

multiplies your exposure.

a 10x leverage means position size = 10 × margin.

position size

usd exposure of the position.

formula:

position size=margin×leverage\text{position size} = \text{margin} \times \text{leverage}

entry price

price at the moment the position opens.

pnl

profit and loss.

  • unrealized pnl: pnl on open positions

  • realized pnl: pnl after you close

long / short

  • long: profit if price goes up

  • short: profit if price goes down

tp / sl

risk controls applied to a position.

  • tp (take profit): auto-close when profit target is hit

  • sl (stop loss): auto-close when loss limit is hit

in zerotek, tp and sl are set as a % of entry price.

platform terms

faucet

resets your test balance back to 10,000 usdt.

you can claim once every 24 hours.

balance is your account value.
